The new single explores Amanda’s intimate recollections of a love that was never going to persist because of its imbalanced emotional output from the two parties involved. The song comes from a place of heightened self-awareness while looking in the rearview mirror; knowing that you have a rare connection with this person, but the timing is awfully wrong, and thus, accepting your heartbroken fate.
